We are a small family run business with over 40 combined years experience in the natural stone floor industry.
Hi, my name is Julie Hall and I am the co-founder and owner of Repolished.
Throughout my working life I have had quite a few varying roles, nothing really inspired me until the year 2000, this is when I was taught how to tile and this was the start of my career in the tiling and flooring industry.
My husband Rob started his working life in sales for a German company specialising in floor applications, providing solutions to problem floors, technical support, advice and sales of products, he then progressed as a sales representative with a company who imported natural stone tiles who supplied to prestigious companies such as, Fired Earth, Lapicida and European Heritage (London).
In 2001 we decided to open our own tile showroom showcasing only natural stone tiles from all over the world, and Plan-it-Earth in Addingham, Ilkley was born.
We developed invaluable skills running this business and acquired a huge wealth of knowledge within this industry. From designing tiling ideas, attending shows to ensure that we had the best range of tiles to offer our customers, along with natural stone maintenance products, tools and fixing products for the tilers.
Our main objective and focus was to provide the best customer service we could and I’m proud to say this was recognised by many of our loyal customers who bought from us time and time again and highly recommended our business.
In 2008 we were hit like many other businesses in the UK with a battle to survive the recession, our business was incredibly successful but after years of struggling with our work/life balance, we decided to try something new.
Having a large database of customers who had bought natural stone tiles from us over the 12 years in business, we decided to offer a service which was to restore, clean, repair and maintain natural stone floors within the Yorkshire area.
Cleaned and Sealed is Rob’s floor restoration business and thrives on recommendations, this is a testament to his dedication and passion to provide the best service he can and today continues to be a great success.
Fast forward and in January 2024 I decided to start my own business offering floor polishing, grinding, cleaning and sanding rotary machines, diamond tools, floor cleaning products, cleaning brushes, polishing pads, rotary machine spare parts and much more to the trade by the introduction of Repolished Restoration.
We were very fortunate to have been familiar with the brands Klindex and Hyper Grinder as Rob has used both of these machines for his own business for many years, so when the opportunity to become the UK’s distributor for Klindex and suppliers of the Hyper Grinder manufactured Beton range of machines arose, I grabbed this with both hands.
With Rob’s knowledge of both stone and wood floor restoration, he has the experience to be able to provide technical support and helpful advice to our customers. With my own business and customer service skills, together with over 40 combined years of experience in the stone restoration business, we hope you feel that Repolished Restoration is right choice for you when looking for a new machine or consumables to use on your projects.
